Casa Portuguesa in Witten

Due to the current situation, we have ordered our food to be picked up. As always, it was great! We had the sea bream (sea bream). We live in Vormholz and didn't need to heat it up again. The restaurant is open for pick-up on Friday, Saturday and Sunday!

As always, very good, fish soup and tuna very good, and very friendly service.

We walked past the restaurant so many times and dined there for the first time today. OUTSTANDING is our rating. We were given great advice about the different daily specials and the taste was just delicious. It is always worthwhile not only to visit the mainstream restaurants. We will be back!

There were four of us and it was great. Warm welcome and the boss personally presented the menu. The food was delicious, we had four different dishes. One point is deducted for the fact that the meal unfortunately took a long time (1.15 hours) and the table that came after us got earlier. Basically understandable that it takes longer because the boss cooks alone, but unfortunately we didn't really have much time and therefore it was a bit inconvenient for us. Otherwise everything was great, we'd love to come back!

Eaten very well, it was very good that the chef and cook took the time to explain the dishes. Our Portuguese friends were great pleased with the quality of the food. Unfortunately the price ratio to the quantity is very high.

Very friendly staff. The boss greets each guest personally and presents the special menu and explains something about it. He also personally goes to each table and asks if it tastes good. I'm deducting 1 point because the food was very salty. And the 4 potatoes were a little bit too few for me personally. But otherwise it was super fresh.

The ambience is a little bleak, but the personal presentation of the fish menu by the head of the house is awesome Fish from the grill extremely tasty.

A special fish restaurant with a wide range of fresh fish. The price segment is in the middle level. The restaurant is comfortably furnished and corresponds to the 60s flair. The service is friendly and brisk. It is particularly noteworthy that the boss makes a personal recommendation from the daily special at the table. There are problems finding a parking space.

Eat like in the old town of Lisbon. The fish is absolutely fantastic and the service is very friendly. The portions are a little too clear for my taste. A real disadvantage is the lack of acceptance of plastic money. Unfortunately, this is not clear from the homepage and led to an uncomfortable situation.

The fish is very good here and fresh. Always varied and always delicious. The only thing that bothers me is the horrendous price for the water. 6.90 for a liter is already heavy.

My brother and I like to eat fish for our lives. So again in the Casa Portuguesa returned. Again we were excited. Yes it is true, the ambiance is Spartan, but it fits here and yes, the landlord of the house goes through the dining table quite quickly, but you can always ask questions about specific fish. It is also true that the "garnish" on the plates is a bit poor, but the landlord pays attention to the fish and the other sea creatures. I can only say: He does it right !!! Today we had gilthead and tuna fillet. The fish is always fresh and great, as well as the octopus salad. We look forward to the next visit!

You can't have sweet without the sour - this might describe the last visit the best. Been there with friends and not for the first time, but this time was different. The food we ordered was delicious - fresh fish, matching salads and side dishes. That being said, we were disappointed that many dishes were not available at all: no salmon, no beef dish and actually no still water. I am not sure whether the team was grumpy because they worked on a public holiday or whether there was any other reason, but we did not really feel welcomed. The chef's nice gesture, explaining the extra menu, was presented listless, the waitresses did not spend a second too long at any of the occupied tables, we were not asked if we might want to drink anything more. Hope that this was just a bad day...

The food is good. The service is ok. But the after dinner options are minimal and thus eat and go.

The restaurant is good. The fish is very well prepared, the cook is very friendly. The operation is a little inattentive. And the food is quite high in price, because although the fish is very good, the side dishes are manageable and artisanal no more than OK. Wines are good.
